Training
Tianyi Kung Fu Club’s training methodology is based on a traditional way of training Chinese kung fu. The classes are structured to address the balance between physical conditioning, technical skill and application.
Class components
Warm Up
The first half hour of classes is focused on warming up the muscles and flexibility training. This is essential in prevent injury while training.
Foundational Skills
Basic punching, kicking and combination movements.
Application and self defense
Defense and attack training evolves from singular techniques to combinations and eventually to sparring.
Routines
Routines are an important of part of kung fu training. They are critical to the improvement of coordination and physical conditioning. Once routines are mastered, they can be dissected to provide foundations applications. Routines will increase in difficulty as students move through
Conditioning
Each class finishes with physical conditioning exercises to build strength and stamina.
